You may have mad conflict resolution skills…but do you know where your fuse box is? What room types best support each age group? What’s the difference between daily maintenance, deferred maintenance and a capital project? How does your residence hall contribute to (or detract from) student success?

This fun, interactive, Jeopardy-esque presentation will teach you everything you need to know about your campus housing buildings…but may be afraid to ask. We will discuss the big picture on how housing is designed, constructed and how they can support your programmatic goals. We’ll discuss maintenance and operations – which disciplines work in and around your buildings, and what they are doing. We’ll get down to the micro level and help answer building questions like how to stop a running toilet, paint a wall, and what to look for in attractive yet durable furniture, flooring and material choices.
