Treanor Life Sciences team is preparing for another Tradeline presentation. Treanor's Dale Glenn, Design Principal and Jennifer Kulseth, Laboratory Planner,  together with Dr. Glen Marotz from KU School of Engineering will be presenting on integrated engineering research facilities. The session will use the Treanor designed KU School of Engineering's new interdisciplinary research facility Materials, Measurement and Sustainable Environment Center (M2SEC). The Tradeline 2012 International Conference on Research Facilities will be in Scottsdale Arizona on April 23-24.

Treanor Life Sciences hosted a very successful 1st Annual Science Facility Design Symposium at the KU School of Pharmacy building on July 28th. The three presentations included:

Registration at the 2011 Kansas Preservation Conference has officially started. The conference, a three-day event that provides training and presentations on historic preservation, runs from July 1-3 at the Kansas State Historical Society in Topeka.

Treanor Architects is proud to be a special gear sponsor the event and participate in two of the conference presentations. Vance Kelley, principal, will present "Phasing a Large Historic Preservation project: The Kansas Statehouse" and Todd Renyer, project manager, is co-presenting "Installing New Systems in Historic Buildings."

After a highly competitive application process, Treanor Life Sciences was accepted to present at the Tradeline 2011 Animal Research Facilities conference in Las Vegas in November. The presentation will highlight the unique challenges and opportunities associated with the Kansas State University's Large Animal Research Center Relocation project that was accomplished from start to finish in 9 months. KSU Large Animal Research Center

As one of the Technical Session speakers at the Labs21 2011 Annual Conference this fall, Treanor Life Sciences together with JE Dunn Construction will be focusing on the utilization of BIM as a tool for accelerated project delivery, using the recently completed KU School of Pharmacy as an example.

Technical Session presentations are given by industry professionals who share case studies, lessons learned, overviews of cutting-edge technologies and design strategies, and industry best practices that are aimed at reducing energy and water consumption and improving the environmental sustainability of laboratories and other high-tech facilities.

The Treanor Interiors designers will be attending NEOCON 2011 in Chicago this June. NEOCON is the largest offering of innovative products, exhibits, educational resources, industry professionals, events and awards in our industry.

Treanor Architects attended and exhibited at the Business Partner Fair at the 2011 TAPPA conference in Houston, April 16-19. The conference was titled "Rethinking the Future" and offered presentation on sustainability trends, organizational change management, project delivery methods, and much more.
