Running in the Great Topeka Bed Race
Treanor Architects participated in the 3rd Annual Great Topeka Bed Race on St. Patrick's Day 2011 in Topeka Kansas.
To win this wild race, a team must be the fastest rule-abiding team to push their decorated bed approximately a half block with a rider, stop for the rider to jump off and put on pajamas, and then push the bed and PJ-adorned rider back to the finish line. Contestants also compete for the most creatively decorated bed.
We are sad to report that Treanor Architects did not win, but did have a great time. Treanor’s bed was decorated as a fire truck with the rider dressed as a Dalmatian and the runners as dressed as firefighters. Our theme represented the building in which we work, old Fire Station No. 5.
